SO WHY PLAY TRAVEL LACROSSE?
If your athlete loves the game and is willing to dedicate the time and attention necessary to strengthen her skill set, opportunities await. According to NCAA research, female student-athletes have it better than men, at least if they want to play sports in college. Participation is generally lower for women’s sports and there are more opportunities available to play in college.
Recruiters are seeking highly competitive athletes—even if your daughter is new to lacrosse and transferring her athletic skills over from basketball or soccer, there are still opportunities to play the game at the collegiate level. Across all Divisions, there are 921 total NCAA lacrosse teams. 396 are men’s and 525 are women's.
